Shared Island Stories
4th July
We had an wonderful afternoon hosting a group from Barbados at the Harris Tweed Authority Story Room last week.
‘Shared Island Stories Between Scotland and the Caribbean: Past, Present, Future’ is a 5-year research project coordinated by the School of Art History at the University of St Andrews in Scotland that aims to investigate relationships between the archipelagos.
Our talented weaver Minnie Hooper led the tour, giving guests a hands-on experience at the loom and a delightful chance to try on and style themselves in Harris Tweed creations.
Thank you, Shared Island Stories for your enthusiasm and joy, it made a truly memorable visit.
