A Mixed Palette

Often the palette of the islands is a combination of natural landscape and man-made touches. In this case, the deep blue of the sea and the earthy tones of the land combine with the bright white of a newly-painted croft house and its worn, red front door. From the land comes the cloth.

(The little caravan is tied down so that powerful Hebridean winds don’t carry it off into the sea!)
