Commonwealth Games Outfits

The Harris Tweed Authority would like to congratulate the award-winning Scottish fashion designer Siobhan Mackenzie on the beautiful Team Scotland tartan outfits she designed for the Commonwealth Games 2022.
Siobhan, who also co-designed the outfits for Team Scotland back in 2018, said that she is “incredibly proud to have been appointed… The pride I feel to design for my country can’t be put into words”.
Back in 2014, the HTA were able to help Siobhan access Harris Tweed® cloth for use in projects for her final year collections. Over the years we have grown very fond of her work and are delighted for Siobhan to have achieved many great successes.
Congratulations also go to Kara Hanlon, who hails from the Isle of Lewis, on achieving a personal best at this year’s games as she reached 3 swimming finals. We watched on with great pride as ‘one of our own’ competed on the international stage.
