HebCelt exchange performance

23rd July

Last week, we were lucky to witness two talented groups come together for a rehearsal in preparation for their performances at the HebCelt Festival.

Feis Eilean an Fhraoich, a local group from the Isle of Lewis, joined forces with The Lumber Jills , who traveled all the way from New Brunswick, Canada.

In a beautiful exchange of culture and music, each group learned a song from the other. The Lumberjills embraced the jig “Keepers of the Clò,” written by Jane Hepburn Macmillan for the HTA last year to celebrate our 30th anniversary.

Their first practice session in person took place right in our board room, and they sounded amazing!

Visit our Facebook page this Friday when we will share a snippet of their practice with you. You won’t want to miss it!
