The Harris Tweed® Journal

Textures of Pink

25th May

In order to attain the famous Orb, the stamp of authentication, all Harris Tweed® fabric must be handwoven at the homes of islanders. Dotted across the Outer Hebrides are loom sheds with doors much like this one, aged and worn, but promising delights within.

The featured Harris Tweed® fabric is handwoven by independent weaver, Rebecca Hutton of Taobh Tuath Tweeds. Her own loom shed is situated next to her house in Northton, Isle of Harris.
