‘The Hearach’ launch

This weekend was a special one here in the Outer Hebrides.

After waiting patiently for eight years – whilst the dram slept quietly in the salty Harris air – we gathered with friends from the The Isle of Harris Distillery team and others who have championed this beautiful business through its journey, where we got to raise a glass and say a big loud slàinte to The Hearach.

I’m afraid your very inexperienced HTA whisky correspondent is not able to give you complex tasting notes, except to say it was delicious, warming, viscous and subtle.

We send warm congratulations to the team at the distillery. We thank them for their partnership in the many projects, travels, initiatives and mischief we have got up to during the Harris Gin years, and we look forward very much to continuing our friendship and partnership to the benefit of our island home.
