The many remarkable people over the years who had the vision and foresight to fight to protect the Harris Tweed® industry and forever tether it to these island shores deserve to have their work documented and remembered.
We are so pleased therefore to share with you that ‘The Islanders and The Orb – The History of the Harris Tweed industry’, originally written by Janet Hunter and published by Acair in 2001, has now been updated by Calum Macleod to include the years between 1995 and 2023. Three new chapters have been added, with an additional colour photo section alongside the updated information on the brand’s history.
